MARS Call Reject & Busy Intimation
|
October 2009
|
|
Small measures yet big relief. Those of us who use Cisco IP Phones in our desk know
that there is no way we can reject a call or send a busy intimation. We use round
about ways to achieve that and most common among them are reducing the ring volume
and wait for the call to pass on. But is there a more sophisticated way to do something
about it. The answer is yes, and it is the ‘MARS Call Reject & Busy Intimation’
application. Now we all can choose which way to respond to an incoming call. We
can reject a call or send a busy message if we wish. Going further it will be possible
to play customized prompts pr divert it to a voice mail box as well.

MARS Meet Me Scheduler
|
July 2009
|
|
Adding another feature to make conferencing easy and cost effective, Parsec launches
the ‘MARS Meet Me Scheduler’. This allows users to set up Meet Me conferences through
which users can be authenticated before joining the actual conference. This application
makes a distinction between the conference initiator and conference attendees. The
initiator uses the application to schedule a meeting, sent intimation to participants
and provide secure pins for authentication. The intimations can be either sent through
email, IP Phone messages or through mobile messaging. The users than dial in the
provided number, authenticate themselves and join the conference. This simple yet
powerful application complements the Meet Me conferencing option in Cisco Unified
Communication Manager to provide an ultra low cost yet secure conferencing option.
